Levi grew up in a small coastal town on the Northwestern tip of Oregon. He was homeschooled K-12 and became active in the local church from a young age. Through his Junior High and High School years, he often questioned if he was truly saved and if Christianity was really true. The post-modern mindset was prevalent in Oregon even then, however, his parents taught him from a young age to think through the validity of a claim and to have reasons for what he claimed to believe.
After High School Levi joined the United States Air Force where he met some wonderful people! Some of those people were fellow believers, but many were not. He was told fairly often that he would outgrow his parents' faith and eventually enjoy the "freedom" of not being religious. But Levi was more interested in following what was true than whatever was deemed as "fun." While stationed at Patrick AFB, Florida, he began working with the "Protestant Youth of the Chapel" group and felt the call to be a youth pastor. He attended North Greenville University in South Carolina where he first read the book "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be An Atheist" by Frank Turek and Norman Geisler. This introduction to Apologetics sparked an interest in the idea of a worldview and a strong desire to discover what is reasonable to believe about the world around him.
Levi continued his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary studying an MDiv in Student Ministry. But during the years at SWBTS, he also continued to listen to podcasts on apologetics and debates between Christians and atheists. He became a youth pastor in 2016 and while serving a church in Big Spring, TX, he attained a ThM in Apologetics. And now he has begun a quest to teach as many people as will listen! While he mainly speaks to youth groups and is constantly thinking of how to present the truth to students and young adults from JH through college, Levi is comfortable speaking in front of any group of people from any age range. Truth is not reserved for a certain age group and everyone needs the gospel of Jesus Christ!
As is noted on the front page, Levi aims to engage cultural ideas against Christianity, encourage believers in the truth of Christianity, equip believers with evidence to refute erroneous ideas and empower fellow believers to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is passionate about seeking truth and is still constantly reading or listening to books, listening to podcasts, watching YouTube videos, keeping tabs on the culture politically, and studying Scripture. He welcomes cordial conversations even from people who disagree with his views. He hopes his life reflects the same attitude Paul showed in Philippians 1:21, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain"
